All data analysis start with data collection. How ever you organize your data, whether it's in Excel, GSheets, or Word, it matters that it's clean. By clean, I mean reliable and formatted in the way you need it. On this site, I share some ways on how I do that. Just like you, I started off not knowing anything except how to use a few formulas in excel. It was enough at that time but it wasn't sustainable. As I spent more time thinking through how to solve business problems, I had no choice but to expand my knowledge. Note that I'm not giving you all of the solutions, simply a starting point or a baseline on how to spend less time collecting and cleaning data and more time analyzing. Again, this is not a comprehensive documentation on how to become a data analyst but it'll get you to a place where you hate yourself less by juggling less spreadsheets.
Here are some tools that I use. They're all FREE and that's the focus! I'm not here to sell anything, only to make your life easier :)
Additionally, since the birth of AI and advanced analytics, there have been plenty of sites with free lesson planning support. Below are some of them that teachers loved because 1) they are free, 2) easy to use, 3) interactive/engaging.
